Instructions for Students Adding FERPA designees:

Students login to Banner to provide their Ferpa consent to add/modify designee (PDF) (5/14/2026)

Instructions for Faculty and Staff Viewing FERPA Designees:

Faculty/Staff Login to Banner SSB and view a students FERPA designee by clicking on Student FERPA lookup which is under "Administrative Tools" and then searching by Banner ID.

The FERPA is good for one year from the date in which the student edits or submits the FERPA.

*Please note, anyone with a FERPA note previously on Degree Works, those notes have been moved to Banner for students who did the paper form in 2023-2024.
